Age of Renewal
Groundbreaking Ceremony
Manor Park has broken ground on its $31 million Age of Renewal Capital Project, launching a major campus modernization following more than three years of planning and fundraising in Midland, Texas. The project will update and repurpose key buildings, create new wellness and educational spaces, and ensure the nonprofit life plan community can better serve current and future residents for decades to come.
At a January 15, 2026 groundbreaking ceremony, leaders, residents, donors, and community partners celebrated the campaign’s success, highlighted by $31 million raised from 134 donors and lead support from The J.E. & L.E. Mabee Foundation, as well as additional support from the Scharbauer Foundation, FMH Foundation, and many other contributors. Construction and demolition are beginning immediately, with work expected to take 15–18 months.

Thanks to $31 million in community support, Manor Park Is Renewing for a Modern Tomorrow
Since the Age of Renewal groundbreaking, remarkable progress has been made across campus.
The Mabee Center has been removed, and the site is now being prepared for beautiful new landscaping.
Inside the Younger Center, demolition is complete, and it is exciting to envision the pickleball court, golf simulator, and updated office space. A lovely Welcome Center and vibrant Wellness Center will bring fresh energy and purpose to this space.
The Barney Greathouse Activity Building is also nearing the end of its demolition phase. Soon, new framework will begin to take shape for an updated dining room, cultural center, and employee break room.
While construction brings temporary disruption, the transformation underway will create spaces designed for connection, wellness, and community for years to come.
