Join Manor Park in Observing World Alzheimer’s Month 2025

Raising Awareness and Supporting Brain Health

Each September, World Alzheimer’s Month unites communities worldwide in a mission to raise awareness about dementia, challenge stigma, and promote support for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. At Manor Park, we proudly join this global initiative with our commitment to wellness, compassionate care, and lifelong learning across our expansive, 83-acre Life Plan Community.

This year’s theme, “Brain Health for All,” encourages prevention, early diagnosis, and supportive care. At Manor Park, these values underpin everything—from our intimate memory support neighborhoods to our full continuum of on‑campus care.

Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s disease is the leading cause of dementia, progressively impairing memory, cognitive function, and daily living. This journey deeply impacts not only individuals, but also their families and caregivers. Although no cure exists, knowledge, early intervention, and enriched environments—like those provided at Manor Park—make a meaningful difference in quality of life.

Ways to Support World Alzheimer’s Month at Manor Park

Here’s how our residents, families, and community can come together to make an impact:

  • Educate and Share - Spread accurate information about Alzheimer’s disease and help dispel harmful myths. Use #WorldAlzheimersMonth to amplify your message online.
  • Engage in Community Events - Participate in or host walks, awareness forums, or educational workshops both on campus and in Midland to spark conversation.
  • Lend a Helping Hand - Supporting those who care for someone with Alzheimer’s doesn’t require grand gestures—offer a meal, a simple errand, or a caring ear.
  • Embrace Brain-Healthy Choices - Manor Park promotes wellness through nutritious dining, active living, social connection, and vibrant programming designed to support cognitive health.
  • Advocate for Supportive Change - Encourage policies and community programs that prioritize dementia caregiving, research, and awareness.
